NDA EXAM SYLLABUS& PATTEEN EXPLAINED


The NDA exam for 2025 is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission and consists of two written papers: Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT). The Mathematics paper covers topics like Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, Vector Algebra, Statistics and Probability, Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, and Analytical Geometry. It carries 300 marks with 120 questions, 2.5 marks per correct answer, and a duration of 2.5 hours.

The assessment consists of 300 marks and includes 120 questions, awarding 2.5 marks for each correct response, with a total duration of 2.5 hours.GAT carries 600 marks with 150 questions (50 English and 100 General Knowledge) with 4 marks each question and also lasts 2.5 hours.Incorrect answers will incur a penalty of one-third of a mark in both examinations. The overall score for the written test is 900 marks. Candidates must score a minimum of 25% in each subject to qualify the written test. After the written exam, qualifying candidates appear for the SSB interview as the next stage of selection. This structure helps in thorough evaluation of a candidate's academic and general awareness abilities crucial for National Defence Academy entry.
